Chores, points & rewards your kids will actually love.

Pointsy turns everyday chores into a game the whole family can see. Parents award points with a tap; kids watch their balance grow and spend it on rewards you set — all in one sleek, mobile-first app.

No app store needed — install it straight to your home screen.

How it works

From zero to awarding points in minutes

Everything is set up inside the app — no spreadsheets, no accounts for the kids.

1

Set up your family

Create a family, add your kids with an avatar and a 4-digit PIN, and pick from a starter set of chores and rewards — or make your own.

2

Award points for chores

Tap a chore to award points, or let kids log their own for your approval. Set rotations, daily limits, and checklists so it's fair and clear.

3

Kids redeem rewards

Kids spend points on rewards you've set. You approve each redemption, so nothing is spent by accident — and every point is tracked.

Features

Everything a family rewards system needs

Thoughtfully built for real households — fair, flexible, and genuinely fun for kids.

Smart chore catalog

Categories, ~200 icons, per-chore daily/weekly limits, core chores, and take-turns rotation between kids.

Checklists & kid submissions

Break a chore into steps. Kids can log completed chores themselves and you approve them from a tidy queue.

Rewards & safe redemptions

Points are reserved while a request is pending; you approve, then mark it delivered. Overdrawn kids can't redeem.

Challenges

Time-boxed goals that pay a bonus — per-kid or whole-family, with optional weekly repeat and parent approval.

Team-up rewards

Kids pool their points for a shared reward, splitting the cost evenly — with invites and a single parent approval.

Trustworthy points

Balances are derived from an append-only ledger, so they can never silently drift. Every change is auditable.

One household, many families

A single deployment serves many families, each strictly isolated. Invite a co-parent with a one-time code.

Installable PWA

Add it to the home screen for an app-like feel, an offline shell, and opt-in push notifications.

Accessible by design

Targets WCAG 2.1 AA, with big tap targets, visible focus, reduced-motion support, and screen-reader-friendly markup.

A look inside

Sleek on every screen

The dark "Emerald Noir" design system makes points feel rewarding — for parents and kids alike.

Challenges

Goals that keep kids motivated

Set a time-boxed challenge — earn 300 points this fortnight, log 10 chores a week, or keep a daily core-chore streak — and Pointsy pays a bonus the moment it's hit.

  • Per-kid races or one shared family goal
  • Optional weekly repeat that resets each Monday
  • Auto-pay the bonus, or hold it for your approval

Team-up rewards

Bigger rewards, earned together

Some rewards are better shared. Mark a reward as a team reward and kids can pool their points — pizza & game night, a family outing — splitting the cost evenly.

  • Each kid sees their even share before opting in
  • Invites, live previews, and one parent approval
  • Shares are held until everyone's in
Privacy by design

Built around children's privacy

Pointsy is designed for data minimization, so the compliance surface (COPPA / GDPR-K) stays small. Kids aren't users in the PII sense — they're just a name, an avatar, and a PIN inside your family.

  • Only parents have accounts. No kid email, no contact info, no behavioural tracking on children.
  • No ads, no selling data. Ever. There's nothing to monetize and no third-party trackers on kids.
  • Parental consent at sign-up. The account owner affirms they're the parent or guardian.
  • Export & erasure built in. Export your family's data, or delete the whole family in one action.
